Used for a few years now, nice and light on the system and picked up quite a few virus's over the years.... and its free

isnt AVG runnign out, had it on my old system and i recall getting a pop up saying it runs out being free for everyone soon...

I'm pretty sure there will continue to be a free version, you may need to uninstall and reinstall though.

Version 7 is being discontinued, you just have to change to v7.5; that'll still be free.

One that's often overlooked but performs very well in anti-virus tests is AntiVir. It's free and self updating.
