I'm looking for a good gaming and recording PC for little 10-30 minute long youtube videos and this is what i'm looking at right now, is there any advice anyone has for me before I buy it, any reasons why not to, or ways to make it cheaper? Here it is:

Intel I5 3570k 3.4ghz - £185
MSI HD 7850 Power Edition Twin Frozr IV OC 2gb - £180
Samsung 23" widescreen LED monitor - £140
Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 MOBO - £90
OcUK Crusade 750W Dual-Rail PSU - £55
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - £50
BitFenix Merc Beta Gaming Case - £30
Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 8GB DDR3 1600mhz - £35
OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter - £19
Gigabyte M6900 3200DPI Gaming Mouse - £15
Gigabyte K6800 Multimedia Keyboard - £11

Total - £810 (£833 including shipping)

This looks all fine to me, only problem is I also have to buy some games, a desk, recording software, a mic and a headset.

I also wanted to buy another 2 monitors eventually, so this isn't looking good. I have no budget but want it low as possible. would prefer £800 INCLUDING all the software and peripherals. software - £30 and haven't decided on mic, headset and 2 extra monitors yet.

Any ideas?

I picked the alpha case over beta because 1. I have it sitting in front of me (setting up my daughters PC) 2. It has better cooling options.

it is a very good spec, maybe more than you need though.....
-The graphics card is spot on for most recent games at decent settings, Which games do you play? - you may be able to find a cheaper card that is good enough for the games you play.
-the CPU is VERY good, for video converting more/faster cores is a great benefit (this CPU can overclock to be a quad-core 4.2Ghz). - you may be able to get away with a lesser CPU, although i couldn't recommend one.
- the PSU is quite powerful and i have seen people build more powerful PCs with 500w PSUs, so that may be another place to save money.

yes the PSU he picked is overkill, 450 to 550 is more than enough, unless you're going to use crossfire or SLI then you would need something like a 850+

he could alternatively go for an i3 then upgrade later, but may as well just go for the i5 now. It is more costly but worth it in the long run.

I have thought that through and decided not to go for that OCUK one as I found a reliable 880W PSU for only £50 on offer for the next month so i'm all ready for crossfire graphics cards, and more upgrades in the near future.

I'm really stuck, I don't know what to do.. I have thought loads about this and want the price to go down.. Might shop around and / or wait for daily/weekly deals to reduce the price a little.. also how do you put that basket list in? is there a template or addon for google chrome or something?
