Good mumsy car

SAAB 93 Cab? You seemed to ignore/miss my previous question so no idea on the money in question.

Nope, its about as cool as a Mondeo ;)

As much as I think my Mondeo is awesome, the new Mini is quite a good fashion accessory and is most definately cool.

The only people who disagree are bearded British Leyland fanboys, which judging by your pointless and almost certainly inaccurate comparison to the rusting, life expired relic that is the original Mini, you'd be one of those :p

BMW mini? well for starters it has less back seat space than a proper mini, it's not cool and it has no road presence.

What do you mean it has no road presence?
Just look at this thing  ;) :D :p

Please remove picture if inapropriote

Build quality has got nothing to do with how cool a car is, BMW tried to manufacture cool and failed. The mini was driven by The Beatles, BMW mini is driven by bummers and middle aged women, FACT.

Anyway, you don't get it, just like you don't get Penski's threads :p Besides, I am a Laguna driver now, neutral as switzerland I am ;)

No, BMW were hugely succesful in 'manufacturing cool' and the new Mini has been 'cool' ever since it came out.

Sorry, but what? What on earth is a 'bummer'? Is it a poor person or something? New Mini's cost thousands of pounds, they don't tend to be bought by whatever 'bummers' are.

Besides, I am a Laguna driver now, neutral as switzerland I am ;)

Cars really dont seem to be your thing do they :p

BMW mini's are cool, ok, so a lot of old school fanboys (cheap ass hippy's :p ) dont like them, and dont think there cool, but as far as up to date fashion goes, there in.

But to people who actually care about "fashoin", I'm not sure it matters if its real cool, or just manufacured cool - but that its perceived as being cool .

As far as a choice for Jez's mum goes, it's harldy a bad choice just might not technically the best car for the money.

I think he means "Metrosexuals" ;)

New mini's lost quite a bit of their cool when every estate agent in England got one but they're still much cooler than my chavved up fiesta could ever be :p

2nd hand XKR? XJ8 whatever they were. ERRMMMM, 3 series coupe/cab tbh. 307 CC :p , its about as girly as they get!

I dont get the new MX-5 seats i really dont. I sat in one at a car show a few weeks back and something about them put a huge grin on my face and made me feel like i was going really fast even though the engine was off and the car wasnt moving at all :o

BMW have been hugely succesful in marketing it as cool, however unlike the real one it isn't one of the coolest British icons ever. Lets face it, its a German hatchback with stick on tat, its fashionable but not cool. A good car though.

A homosexual, are you seriously telling me you have never looked at a BMW mini and thought "pink handbag?". Your gaydar must be malfunctioning.

E46 M3 Cab

Just trying to think what the M3 does that a 320Ci Cab wouldn't do equally that Jez's Mum, who isnt a 'car person', would appreciate.

Other than the massive running costs and purchase price, obviously.

I'll let you know if I think of anything :p
