Heya! Me and a few mates are going to link up in the City and have a little catch up.
Can you recommend any good pubs or bars in Central? Not looking at food, prob just cheap drinks and good atmosphere :)
Oh, and we don't do J.D Weatherspoon!

Thanks :)

Nice one, im sure you will have a great time, ive just been there for 5 days, but cheap - u stand no chance, one pub I went to it cost me just short of £20 for a round of 3 drinks nothing fancy either 1 glass of wine, a pint of stella and a pint of leffe :(

Jodi, it's okay. I live in London, I know the prices can be a wallet raper. But I mean cheap in London's terms! :)

And Wanton, we're looking at around West End and Trafalger Square sort of area. Nothing East Central like Bank. Liverpool St will be fine though :)

Well I guess i'll take all suggestions from within zone 1 and i'll narrow it down later :)

The Bricklayers arms on Gresse street, just off Tottenham Court Road.

Sam Smiths pub, so good cheap beers, bloody tiny though and not sure if it's open at weekends (after 6pm on weekdays they open the upstairs bar which is bigger)

The Marlborough Head at the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street, Eeriepubco pub, nice atmosphere, good food, drink prices arn't outrageous either.

The Chandos, opposite the natonal portrait gallery, superb pub!

So where are you and your mates going area-wise then?

Dymetrie like I said earlier, we're not planning anything. We're just going to meet up at a bar/pub in the afternoon and see where the day takes us from there :) But yeh, west end sort of area, but mainly in Zone 1 :)

Edit: Likely we'll eat after that at some restaurant!

As said, if you want cheap beer head to a Sam Smith's pub.

The Chandos is on the corner of Trafalgar Square and you can get a pint for under £2!
Not the nicest place ever though.
