Good roads in Wales

So i'm off this friday to rack up some miles for the weekend. The plan is to take in some scenery starting in Frome and going up through the breacons, snowdonia and hopefully back down the coast. I've done a bit of research on decent roads and the road from Llandridnod Wells to Newtown comes highly recommended. Other than that we were going to play it by ear and see where we end up.

Anyone got any good suggestions for decent road wityh nice scenery? Not looking for any superfast blast roads, im going with the father in law on his 1150gs so more cruising i suppose. Any suggestions are welcome

This is not going to be the best grammar ever but i have done similar routes.

How are you going to Wales? The roads are nice from Frome to Salisbury then on to Devizes, from there go to Swindon and on to chipping Norton. From there i would head west to Leominster, (services on outskirts handy to fill up and unload )From there i would head north toward Knighton, then towards Newtown, swing south-west toward Llanidloes and on to the dam at Llyn Clywedog. Then head to Porthmadog and enjoy Portmerion.

The plan is to go over the severn bridge and upwards through the breacons so devizes is a little way off. I've done the roads around salisbury before, usually head up there from dorchester and back for a sunday blast, very good roads

avoid wales if you want to have a play and like anything above legal limits and 40s/50s.

they are the most unsymathetic race known to man! lol

Lol! Don't think there will be too much to worry about speeding with the father in law in tow!!

if your going to landod, then you could try goiong up the elan valley dams. very nice scenery up there

On another note you just missed the scooter show in builth wells this weekend. And there will be a proper bike show at the end of the month, which is good fun
