Lo all,

After reading through the running sticky I want to find a shop that can find the right shoes for me.

I'm in Cornwall until the end of the month but after that I will be in Bournemouth.

Can any one recommend to me a shop either in Cornwall (or near Plymouth) or a shop in or around Bournemouth that can stick me on a treadmill, see how I run and find the right shoes for me.

Cheers guys

Thank you very much!

That seems ideal. I will check them out when I move back to Bournemouth without a seconds thought. I'm surprised I've not noticed them before considering how close to that shop I live!

Cheers

I went to up and running in Bournemouth and the guy seemed really helpful, but no treadmill to run on, had to run up and down the road! Its in Winton highstreet btw opposite iceland.

yes, used the b'mouth shop i thought they had treadmill and video analysis, well they did when i called in. helpful staff and a young honey too!! maybe shes moved on?

Just wanted to say thanks to all who replied. I've just got back from Up & Running on Winton High street and came back with a brilliant pair of shoes. Lots of support, very comfortable and based on my tredmill action, perfect for the way I run :D

Simon was a top bloke as well, really helpful and friendly. He knows a lot about feet and didn't seem to mind getting to close to mine which makes him a very brave man!

Bring on my new training regime.

I had a good experience with Up & Running at Swansea. Was having a lot of calf pain after I went running and the treadmill analysis showed me over-pronating so after some more analysis I bought some Mizuno Wave Inspire 3s and the pain has really cleared up.

Seems they won't let you use the treadmill unless you have an intention of buying though. Had a friend who bought some shoes from another shop and wanted to see if they were right for his gait but they wouldn't do that. Spose it's fair enough really, but they might have missed out on a sale as he would have bought another pair if they thought it'd be better.
