I'm just wondering if anyone is on the o2 and using a g1? I'm thinking of buying one, but worried that it will lock to tmobile when the software updates come. Are there any problems with this? And how did you guys unlock the phone?
Also I'm not sure whether to get a g1 or the 5800. I know they're quite different but wondering what peoples thoughts are on them.
G1 probs are the battery life and size.
5800 is cheaper, lighter & smaller.
What would you guys go for? I'm buying them offline - 195 for the 5800 & 225 for the g1.
I'll just be using it to share the internet to my laptop and using email, web etc on the go to pass time!
Also I like the iphones onscreen keyboard for typing if its similar to the 5800.
All this was typed on a g1!
