Google it n00b

This was something I found waaaay back in 2004, but it still works now:

Getting my certificate in the mail soon! :D email though :(

100% on both assessments. Question 18 was tricky though!

I didn't really learn anything new, however it did show me how useful the things I know actually are. For example I've searched for things in the past and I wanted a PDF file, I would never type 'filetype:PDF' because i'm lazy, i'd just add 'PDF' to the end of my query, but the difference between the results is astounding. I'll definitely be using Google more efficiently from now on.

The stuff relating to image searching was excellent, I have to do a lot of image searches at work (usually with an art director sitting over my shoulder) and this has transformed a usually painful task.

God i hate that i missed this :(

so much of my job involves using google, im either looking people up or researching something obscure :P.

Did it, in the last hour!

Got 100% in one attempt, i did feel the questions were much too easy except for the book one!

How did everyone do the book question at the end? I didnt really do it properly.

I found image search, esp dragging and sort by colour useful, how google works, and file type search. Intext seems useful as well as verifying by date. Ill probably forgwt a lot tho if i dont make use of it regularly

Ah I remember.

IIRC, it wasn't the author of the book but the author of the picture in the previous question which was in the book. When you searched for it within said book, it told you about it. Author of book was not the same as author of pic
