The other just a phone the cost have got crazy imo, but people are obviously paying for them.

Not just a phone though is it. It's a highly advanced portable pc, that can go anywhere and doesn't need a constant power source. Honestly when you think about it, it's worth the price compared to a laptop with how much it's used v a laptop.
The biggest issue is we're all addicted to getting a new one every 2-3 years.

Has your battery life started to get poor too?
Semi, but not drastically. Depends on use.
I get a full day out of my battery still, unless I'm playing music or videos all day. General use is absolutely fine.

I do like the notification improvements for when it's turned over on the desk. My old Xiaomi 12T had a nice notification animation on screen (a muted glow around the edges) which was good but the P10 doesn't have anything really (unless I'm missing it) so the change for the P11 seems a neat touch.
Depending on other reviews on performance and battery etc I might think about upgrading from the 10 but probably not.

I normally upgrade on a 3-4 year basis. Not so sure now.
I'll see what their offers are for trade in.

Yeah, A possibility. I generally don't dive in after significant hardware swaps so may be worth keeping a bit longer and see how it pans out too.
