Okay, I'll go to the effort, even though lots of people have said they see it. It's actually from a video compared to stills.

You see the video still next to the selfie. Look how green the grass is?! Without doubt, in my eyes, it over processed it. It recognised the grass in the video and made it bright green!

Yes, in the actual photos it's not done that, but sometimes it does. This is just a clear example that you can see it's processed the images/video too much.

Ah right, so it bumps up the saturation and brightness.. I presumed there an actual problem with it..if you look at any review of blind phone camera comparisons often saturated/brighter photos win over "raw" unprocessed ones. Probably why Google and all other manufacturers process them to a different extent. Samsung for e.g. is really bad compared to Google. Side by side pictures of my other halfs z3 flip look much warmer, saturated etc compared to pixel. I don't see how it makes the pictures 8/10 compared to 10/10 ?

Videos are definitely is over saturated and pictures sometimes have the shadows raised too much. Otherwise pretty good.

Also there are blur issues and nitpicks if you are into photography there's probably an extra scale of stuff to list but I have seen the images I have taken which is why I would say its not perfect and certainly not blown away my previous phones nor wife's phone when we compare out and about shots.

This is a physical sensor size issue that plagues all relatively massive sensor phones. Large sensor coupled with large aperture and you get fringing when close.

That's why is sucks that this phone has no macro mode. on the OnePlus 9 Pro and S21U we have this feature to combat this issue.

Just in case you get the wrong end of the stick, I am happy with the phone and find the camera 'good' for what I do, that being said if you read back some, you get the odd forum poster that is in disbelief or wants hard evidence like they do not trust you. If you spend two minutes on google you can find out lots of starting points if you want to delve into the weaknesses of the camera (or any camera/device for that matter). :)

I have also followed most of this threads pages so I have seen other forumites point out reasonable critique so I cannot understand why people cant use the page links and just..read!

Thanks btw @AndyCr15 for sharing the comparison!

Decided to order a Pixel 6.

£55 + £26/mo - £40 TCB. Too good to pass up on a decent tariff.

Last google phone I had was a Nexus 5.

30w charging here is a myth.

I posted this back in late October

I went from the Nexus 5 to the Pixel 2XL and then to the Pixel 6. Been impressed with the upgrades each time.

It has to be a PPS charger which the Samsung charger is. It is the cheapest PPS charger and actually from a good brand.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08R1JKKM5/

I opted against the official charger as I also read the Pixel 6 doesn't actually charge anywhere close to 30w.

I can't remember the exact phones I've had since. I think S7, Note 9 and my current phone Mi 10 Lite 5g.

With the last Xiaomi I got only August last year, made me realise you should go for a flagship phone and keep it longer like I did with the S7 and Note 9.

My headphones arrived yesterday. I decided to keep em and I am loving them. Theyre a good upgrade over the old hyper x headphones on my PC.

Aren't they a lower spec than the 700?
