Yeah it makes zero sense to me. It's like Google intentionally shoot themselves in the foot in some way with each phone release. If the non pro was around the same ballpark size as the 5 then fair enough but releasing two absolutely massive phones? ...

The Pixel 6 Pro is the first phone tempting me away from my Mate 20 Pro. The latter has been a workhorse for nearly three years and haven't seen anything offering a meaningful update. I'm hoping the Pixel 6 Pro lives up to the hype, if so, I'll definitely be getting my order in!

I think this has been a good launch for Google-plenty of promotion (even some ads here in the UK) and some positive early thoughts so realistically, the phone and the price are the only things Google can dictate-give people a good spec’d phone and price it competitively compared to what else is out there and then see what happens. Anything else after that is down to the consumer.

They will forever get/have a bad rep so nothing can be done about that but there is definitely a need for their phone to be out there.
