Google Pixel 9 Series (9/9a/9 Pro/9 Pro XL/9 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 3)

I thought I was just imagining it but performance feels better after the December update. After the first M3U update I noticed weird stuttering in a couple of games. This update seems to have fixed it and maybe even a little better than compared to pre-M3U performance, don't notice stuttering any more.

For quite a while my 16 Pro has been a nightmare to use due to crashes, freezes and the horrible keyboard experience.

Wanted to move to Android and did way too much research into the best Android phones, only to find that 99% of them are 6.7"+ and I find those phones way to big which limited my options.

As I don't watch a lot or play games a lot on my phone, the Pixel series made sense and I've been waiting on a good deal for one and decided to get a refurb/2nd hand 9 Pro.

I managed to snag an excellent condition, 512GB version for £470 which based off of current prices, is a great price. Was tempted by the 10 series but given the big price difference and menial gains, I didn't seem worth it.

I can sell the 16 Pro for £565 so I'm £100 up with a much better phone!

Just started getting the battery meter question mark on my 9 Pro Fold. Battery health reports 60% as well and should be replaced. Gutted, was working fine since launch. Has anyone sent their phone for repairs? How long did it take? I'm tempted to just swap it for a regular 10 Pro, as much as I found the inner screen useful for reading and work, it really was a wake up call on the reliability of the folds.

I've seen quite a lot on Reddit of people getting a 10 fold back when they've sent their 9 in for repair so you might get lucky

Thanks, had a quick look at the Google repair page and the only option it does offer is replacement, so will do that. Will probably still sell it on though then use that to fund a normal non-fold phone.

Google pixel 9 XL pro had it since July 2025 it has done 92 cycle counts and battery life is 97% does this sound about right for one of these pixels?

I must say not too impressed with the phone although still brand new looking had a official Google pixel case and screen protector on since day one I may look to trade in and go back to the dark side iPhone :(

Got a Pixel Watch 4 this week. I don't wear a watch often, but decided it was time to upgrade my OG Pixel Watch when Google emailed me a £150 off voucher. Doesn't seem to be too much different, but battery life perhaps a little better (even on this 41mm), the screen should be brighter and it's nice and snappy.

Just for Comparison:

Pixel 9 Pro.
Battery Capacity - 100%
127 Cycle Counts.
Date of first Use, January 25.

Worth noting, I very rarely charge quickly.
Adaptive charging is on.

Had my pixel 9a for about 3 months now, happy with it ! for the price i paid at the time (around £320 i think ?)

How strange well it's not moved for months from 97% and I have never fast charged or given the phone a boost I used to have the phone set to only charge to 80% but now I've changed it to 100% slow charge and adaptive charging

Mines 97% had it just over a year. Until the last couple of months I had it only charge to 80% but to be honest wasn't lasting a full day and I use it a lot.

I do wireless charging but do it slow and on adaptive charge.

Recently turned off battery saver so I get the higher refresh

New Pixel 9 Pro here. Bought after my Pixel 6 had a motherboard failure completely out of the blue.

Is it not just an algorithm based upon usage, charging etc, rather than the real health of the battery?

Thinking I my finally upgrade my pixel 5, absolutely love it but the battery is needing replaced.

I had read that the pixel 9a suffers from over heating, is this true? Moving to Australia permanently soon so naturally that would cause an issue!
