Google reportedly planning stable of Nexus devices with Android 5.0

Curious to see what jellybean will bring to the table as going by past updates 2.2 was massive, 2.3 was fairly decent jump, nothing amazing, only improvements was that the battery life improved slightly and it was a bit faster and smoother along with a different look in the notification bar/icons and 4.0 was HUGE, largely due to the complete revamp of the UI and Hardware acceleration along with some neat features.

I personally can't see what else google can bring to android that is going to make us go WOW like it was with 2.2 and 4.0

Think it will be the same as 2.3, nothing ground breaking just a minor update?

Well 5 is supposed to harbour a new UI as well so I imagine it will be something completely new.

What?! a new UI already and after the success of the stock ICS UI..............

If true, be interesting to see how they have improved it even further then.

The biggest thing I am hoping for is that google sort the fragmentation regarding updates out for every android device as this is the only area, which is holding android back currently IMO and the one thing, which I HATE about android in general :p

Ahhh, I just did a google search. Possibly announced at Google I/O, which is June 27 - 29 in San Francisco this year.

Intratech, how do you think the specs on this will be compared to the SIII? :p

Depends on the company. I can see Samsung going with their Exynos 5450 OR 5250 SoC and Super AMOLED+ HD screen, HTC using the upgraded Krait with Adreno 320 GPU and some others using the TEGRA 3+ (Wayne) SOC. No idea what Hauwei will do as they have their own SoC. Exciting times if true.

Hmmmm a Sony Xperia Nexus!! or HTC Nexus-One or Nexus-X... That might be nice!! :)

The way the Hardware is going now!!.. :) it'll be down to personal preference on Hardware rather than software (I'm not a fan of the Samsung UI on my wife's Ace!)

Phwoar!! Hope there is summut stonking available next June when I can Cancel/Upgrade.

Expect NexusBook/JellyBeanBook/AndroidBook hardware rather than lots of phones running stock Android.

Where did you hear that? Surly the new UI will be kept for a few years?
