Idiots, I really do not see how it is an invasion of privacy, When I could walk down their streets & see exactly the same thing as street view offers.

All these Brits complaining about Street View need to get a god damn grip :/

I like Street View personally.

I must add to my post, That if it were live feeds then I think it would be bad, But because the images aren't live I do not see a problem with it.

I love it.

This may be a bit sad, but before I went to California last year I found the hotel I was staying on google maps, used street view and went for a look around to see what was there! Obviously it's a little out of date - but one of the places I found on google maps served great breakfast and it was nice to be able to go straight there without having to search on foot! :)
 
It seems the only people who don't like it are the sort of people who will cover up their number plate in the street because people might walk past and see it.

People just do not understand the very things that they are afraid of these days and do not wish to find out more about these things and understand them.

Ignorance is bliss as they say.
 
Yes, Im fine with it but some may have fears of progression or paranoid delusions of a police state. As you may know it only takes one or two to begin with in small communities before all jump on the bandwagon, but if you wanna feel an emotion towards them let it be sympathy. that way you wont go losing your hair over stupid actions of the ignorant.

I don't mind it but gosh privacy has changed big time last 5 - 10 years...
I mean now you can look straight on Google Earth check out someones back yard easily, 5 - 10 years ago that never happened! Wouldn't even think of it!
 
It's great for work when you get people telling you they're on benefits and cant afford to pay etc. So you check Houseprices.co.uk and see they live in a £500k property, check Street View and have a look at their massive house with a Beemer on the drive ;)

It doesnt bother me personally, it's like the people who blank out their numberplates on pics etc. I see numberplates on cars all day long in real life...whats the difference!
 
Had this debate with my girlfriend earlier, I really dont see the big deal. I've already found it useful for finding directions around London, and Im visiting Manchester tomorrow and has been useful in know where Im going.

Some people are just idiots and think that this crazy internet thing is going ruin their lives and bring down society as we know it!
 
It's pretty cool, Belfast is on it and you can find my house this year :D (were using it for flat hunting for next year too, saves actually going outside).

Cant wait for more places to be mapped on it!
