This is my thoughts on zoos aswell (well minus the insane comment about freeing the animals and killing the zoo keepers), though most of the animals are now born into captivity.

The only place where animals should be observed is in large safari parks, and minimally at that.

Gorillas, tigers and other animals not native to these lands shouldn't be here full stop.

Zoo breeding programmes are in many cases preventing species becoming extinct, how do you propose they be funded ?

FYI i believe that animals in zoos are bred in captivity, not shot by 10 guys while walking down the street, leaving friends and family behind just to make money.
