Got a FitBit - It's working for me, here's my feedback (now with pictures).

The new Samsung watches coming out next month all have inbuilt heart monitors and I've got my eye on one of them. Why would a reading from the wrist be so bad?

All this talk of whether fitbit is nonsense, you've done amazing things to your body and health, and so unless buying a fitbit bankrupted your family then it seems like a great idea to me :)

I'm inbetween updates but I thought I'd post a couple of pictures.

The first one is me in July last year.

The second one is me at the end of last month.

To keep my international man-of-mystery reputation, I've added a black bar in an appropriate place :D

Clearly I've still got a belly but that will go as the weight continues to come off.

great successful weight loss, but once you achieve your goal make sure you don't fall into old habits and then watch the pounds pile back on.

it's a constant battle against your subconscious to stay thin after you reach your goal and that is why many people are yo-yo dieters that go up and down regularly.

Not really followed the thread but just wanted to say nice work & well done! :)

Probably feels wonderful to know you've bought yourself a few extra years by getting in to a much better shape *thumbsup*

To be fair, he's done it the right way, lots of exercise, monitoring his food properly, not denying himself anything, just keeping to moderation, it's more of a lifestyle change than a diet, so he has a lot more chance of keeping it off.

I've lost a lot of weight myself and I know for a fact I'll never be returning to how I was, I've kept it off for over 3 years so far.

Awesome job man, I personally think things like the fitbit are a really good idea if they motivate you to hit your goals and offer you a way of making what you're doing tangible, even if they weight loss isn't that noticeable especially in the beginning, and then fitness does just become a habit thats very hard to break as with anything else.

It's not a trap I intend to fall in. As I've bought smaller clothes, I've thrown the old ones away. The only large things I have left are my belts which I've made new holes in and they comically now reach round to the centre of my back :)

Exactly, today I had a bacon roll for breakfast and because it's friday, it's fish and chips night!

That's the plan, I've got into the habit of walking and now if I don't my regular exercise in then I'm very restless.

I bought one of these a few weeks back and put it in a box. Well started with real vigour this week and I hope I can maintain it, but enjoying putting all my food in and pressing the steps and distance up. Time will tell but Feek that is good work and I have a similar challenge.
