Just got home from buying a new car, (well I say new but it's new to me).

It's a Peugeot 205 Rallye 1.4 UK version, no euro rallye but there we go.

Not my pictures, will take some at the weekend (i'll try and find a decent camera). Ignore the black steelies in the last picture as it's sat on the original steelies.

It understeers loads, but I think thats down to it having new tyres on it which aren't worn-in combined with them probably being budgets.

Now, do I put my 15" speedlines on it from my previous car? Or stick with what it's got, save up for some decent tyres for the steelies...

I really don't feel safe with it understeering so much so I think i'll swap them over when I get the time as a temporary fix!

Oh and I plan on removing the GTi shocks and springs from the TD to the Rallye along with the GTi brakes and my stereo.

Future plans for it:

K&N bolt-on filter

Can't think of anything else, other than just keep it tidy. :)

Cheers buddy. :)

Forgot to say that it has the steering wheel, gear knob and seats from the GTi.

My dad reckons some red mud flaps would look good but i'm not so sure to be honest.

I think some nice 14" alloys from the 1.6 GTi in black would look pretty good on it...

Whats a 205 Rallye?

The older brother of the 106 1.4 Rallye?

The UK rallye is 1360cc whereas the 106 rallye and 205 Euro rallye are 1294cc.

The Euro has twin webber carbs and is 100bhp. The 106 rallye is the same as but is fuel injection.

My UK one is only 75bhp.

I think the 1294cc version is actually just a 205 1.1 engine but bored out to 1.3 and with a wilder cam.

I think i'll try and find the twin choke carb from an XS and stick that on it, should take it up to 85bhp and then with a bit of messing about it could go up to 100bhp possibly...

I probably would put the wheels on it actually, although someone might need to perform a little photoshop magic so that we can see it first :p

i have a 306 gti-6 and the turnig circle is awful. Apparantly this was done to stop people taking corners to quick and damaging the engine mounts.

Id stick with the orignal wheels.

Oh yeah, it's got a straight through exhaust. It's standard but just had the centre box removed. Didn't really notice it really.

My other 205 (the 1.4 GT) that I had sounded louder, but then again i had an air filter on it which made it very, very loud. :p
