I must admit that all the whey threads do make me chuckle a bit. I guess I just don't have the body builder mentality to be so anal on my diet and adding in supplements all the time. I would rather avoid whey shakes and with the calories that I dont consume in whey I can afford to cook myself a nice meal. I guess I have never suffered with not being able to take enough nutrients in, being a foodie just gives me the opposite problem haha.

I agree. Guzzling loads of protein drinks a day is a waste, the body will only take what protein it needs for muscle repair and other body functions, the rest gets deaminated and used for energy or turned to body fat.

I drink around 4 shakes a week and thats purely for convenience eg: When i'm on the day shifts at 4o'clock in the morning when i just havent got time to do a proper breakfast.

Solid food protein is superior to powders anyway, plus tastes 100X better! :)
