i've been given 2.5k to spend on a pc.....don't ask!

...my question is where to spend the money...i need everything pretty much...

.but where should i spend my money...an expensive cpu?...watercooling?...hard drives?...monitors?...or just randomn acessories :)

all comments appreciated...

£1500 on a gaming rig, the rest on a sound system.

You don't need to spend £2500 on a PC, not unless you need 30TB of storage, quad SLI and dual 30" screens

If you really, really wanted to spend all of the cash then something like this might do. You'll need to check Ram compatability properly though and the CPU is still pre-order on OcUK. Personally I'd spend about £1,500 and get a 24" monitor instead of the 30" which reduces the other system requirements as well.

I would build two pc's if I had that budget, one very basic one for web browsing, downloading, and other apps that didnt need the power and one for gaming, would personaly get one quality display and plug them both in to it.

My google skills prevail. 1st link when I tried without "law" and it auto corrected to "Machrone's"

- Thus was born Machrone's Law: The machine you want will always cost $5,000. Note the third and fourth words: the machine you want. Not the cheapest machine, not the one that makes the most sense. The one that makes you drool.

The Google is strong in this one!:D

He was a columnist in PC Magazine back in the 80s and 90s. Manchrone's law has been struggling recently with the low dollar exchange, but now that we're getting quad-SLI and X-fire he'll be back on form again.:p
