Got the 8Gb iphone 3G - Can i exchange for 16GB ?

Hi All,

Got the 8gb iphone today after a long queue at Fenchurch st 02. I really wanted the 16Gb but they had none. Will i be able to exchange this for the 16GB if they become avaliable next week ?

No 16GB in stock, most stores in London where i work had little if any 16Gb, a lot more 8GB's are still avaliable

Chances are the 16GB may not be available next week or for the next 2 weeks, so what do i do wait for 1 month ?

What you did was get a 8gb just to have a iPhone even though its not the one you want, so now if you return it you stopped some other lucky sod who actually wanted a 8gb from getting one just because your impatient.

what you didnt do is go to the apple store where they have loads of 16gb in stock. If you are upgrading? well.....shoulda said that!

Not if it's CPW you got it from by the way lads.
There was a thing on the upgrade contract that said the 2 week period doesn't apply for upgrade customers.

went into CPW and ordered a 16gb, the manager said they had just had 2,000 had just come available and ill get it on monday

Apple Stores can only do new customers, no upgrades yet. They're just having big trouble with the actual process of it because of the O2 servers falling over.
