GOW - Who's Man Enough?

I don't really notice much difference but I am usually on Miss K's team so might not see the host difference, I usually just assume its skill when she badgers you guys silly and will stand by my assuptions :)

Just you wait till alrik or I get host. Full team kills become the norm. (But there is not a host advantage ;))

I have noticed that you have to aim slightly differently when you are host and when you are not the host.

When I am host I tend to get most of my shots on target and kabooie there is a 5m diamater of blood around me.

When I am not hosting I have noticed that my "Aim" is slightly left of the target most of the time (your right alrik) I suspect that this is due to my extended hosting period and bad habits have developed.

Further more from only playing one or 2 nights of Halo. I have develped a very bad habit of following every shotgun shot with a melee attack. Now Marcus is not as fast at this manover as Master Chief and my melee attack never gets landed. It would however be faster and better if I shot again.

BTW we should do some proper line tests to see what connetion speeds we have each night to see who really should be hosting.

Can't remember but i think it was squinoogle hosting the other night which gave alrik only some of the worst shotgun and lancer lag ive seen yet. It was like the slowmo matrix stuff ;)

He stood near me when I said I couldn't see it and fired at the wall. Took an age for his shot to hit. Why do other games not suffer like this?

It has happend to me when RP2000 hosted one of the Turnament games. I fired 2 sec later the bullets landed where my target was I fired again, ditto, all his shots were leaving his gun and hitting me in real time. At this point I tried to run away but his team mate flanked and killed me (this would not have happened if my bullets were hitting. My target had a pistol or lancer, I had a shotty and fired 3 "Accurate" shots. So I would have been able to run forward, in the direction I was going) and not be flanked as I was )

I'm not really sure why this happens as its only "your" bullets that are not working real time, everyone else shoots and hits in real time. possibly its some glitch or packet loss that is responsible.

1.8 up being... 1.8 mb? That's pretty damn good if it's a home personal connection... Nearly 4 times mine and Krono's upload.

Sorry should read what I type. I'm on a theoretical 8Mbps connection which gives me an actual 1.8Mpbs DOWN and what I thought was 0.9 UP (I really don't pay much attention to this part) but is 448Kbps according to my bill.

Embarrassing typo considering I'm an It engineer :o

:D Same as me then except i get more down, theoretical 8mb running at 7.5mb down and i get the full 440 odd up.

You might want to chainge ISP or get downgraded if you are paying for 8mb and getting less than 2

Its £14.99 and the house line is a bit crappy. As I'm still stuck with the family I don't get much say in it really. Hopefully when I move out shortly I'll pay for a nice shiny fancy new one.
