GPU with optical/coaxial audio out?

I'm having issues with audio out from my GPU, that it's seen as a monitor (I want it only to be used as audio out only) it creates a secondary display so it messes things up! My motherboard doesn't have SPDIF out.

Are there any GPUS that have optical or coaxial digital audio out?

Displayport to my monitor (for 1440p video)
HDMI from PC into AVR (for audio only)

When I switch on the PC the only way I can get audio to work is to enable secondary display- which either means it's locked to 1080p (mirroed) extended (then mouse falls off the primary) or games are looking at the secondary 1080p refusing work at 1440p.

Basically I don't want the GPU to see the HDMI as a video device, that I want it to work like a good BD player where HDMI 1 is video and HDMI 2 is audio only (like a BD 820) As HDMI video is what's messing it up.

I do have a old soundcard with optical out but there is no latest updated drivers, it's a asus xonair) plus lose HD audio from movies etc. So I thought HDMi would just work

Also everytime I boot I have to move extended display at an angle so it's doesn't cause mouse to roll over, plus sharpness is effected I have to go into monitor and adjust it slightly. Didn't have that issue with single monitor layout.

Don't GPU drivers just allow you to "audio out only"?

Thats the way i have to do it also, from my gpu to oled tv i use hdmi for picture, then i use display port/hdmi cable to my avr, i just set the avr hdmi to 1080P in nvidia control panel, i have zero problems myself, and zero latency and i get exactly the same fps in games when i benchmark, i have to do it this way as my avr is a bit old, so it dont have earc only arc.

pain in the arse with mouse cursor though.

I dont have a problem myself, why dont you make your 1440P monitor primary ? all my games find the correct monitor every time, 4K tv for me.

Ah i see yours is set to primary, alt tab to windows and change it in display settings when in game then ?

It is primary, it's just having the secondary "fake" display is causing problems

Why don't GPU drivers offer the option? HDMI audio extractor doesn't seem a bit idea, but it would still be seen as a display device? Also want a passive one got too many wall warts as it is.
