I think something is happening to some of the images when they're uploaded. Mine looks slightly blurry as well and in game it looked much sharper.

I thnk i used the 'miniature' filter on the image above hence the blur.

He's referring to the compression artefacts.

When I load a screenshot in photoshop it says that some adobe information is corrupted and asks if I want to discard it and continue. That could be something to do with the lowered quality?

Nah, does the same for me. You just need to 'save for web' and set it to the highest quality.
