I considered the same thing tbh but I like that my PS3 is backwards compatible.

Must admit that I miss my old PS3, the slim one looks a bit cheap in comparison

Replaced the laser, on the initial power on I did spot an error code in the top right corner but didn't get time to take note of it; after restarting to write the error code down I got no such error.

Loaded up GT5 without any problems, so I'll send the car this evening.

The laser was £40.

There are cheaper ones on the bay but they're inferior quality.
