Graphic Design Competition - Look inside for details (Competition WON - No More entries)

If theres one thing you guys can take from this, its that the top left hand corner of the rounded frames doesnt display right on a lot of peoples browsers :p

I thought that it was a bit odd haha - so its meant to be rounded eh?

Well, it is on my browser (FF) :p

One with the side menu removed and the buttons moved to the top:

Might do one with a mocked attempt at how the top menu could work

EDIT: Then again, the sites version is fine as it is

Not sure how the scrolling i frame bar would work really? That and i cant see the picture :p

I might have used the wrong terminology for this I don't do webdesign, my picture didn't include the iframe it was just showing you where you can put it.

Though isn't there 2 options on how to use an iframe? one is a scrolling and the other is a static.

In the static it you can only add a few products to advertise, but in a scrolling iframe which can scroll from left to right you can add several products. This letting the viewers having to use the left and right scroll tabs that are built onto the iframe (like I said thats if its called an iframe).

If the side menu is removed I know a lot of people won't like this but overclockers could generate more income with more advertisements. There is just no need for all those tabs which send you to the same place and the top tabs do.

I agree about the side bar to be honest, I've only just noticed the top buttons 'pan out' so to speak when you hover over them, which is mroe than enough really...Sadly the issue is incorporating the menu system into the top menu...This has been done on competitors sites so it's do able

on one of my above examples I removed the side bar and mvoed the buttons to the top (although the font colouring is completely wrong :p)

And heres a slightely diff one with the three buttons at the bottom:

So with the tabs across the top how would that work with the different sections between the tabs? drop downs?

Personally far prefer it the way it is on the left to the tabs on the top due to general ease of use though it's always worth seeing other angles :)

No I know, I'm just looking at that now, and incoprorating the extra menu into the top tabs would be a cufuffle and a half.....How the site is now is exactly how a competitors is...So unless you can get it to keep expanding on each section (ie monitors / 17" / 'shows all 17" monitors") then i dont see how it could work

Personally I think it should go above the "Today Only/Latest Products" section, but here's mine.
