This very special NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 is the only one of its kind designed by our in-house VGA Guru Gibbo making this the worlds ONLY genuine reference 970 available in the world. Gibbo's design request were very specific, genuine NVIDIA 970 cooler, yes the crazy expensive one just like the 980 cooler and a NVIDIA BGA Board using all original NVIDIA components with absolute zero cost down in the design.

Infact Gibbo improved the design by changing the containers in which the inductors are located for better quality items to help reduce and eliminate any possibility of coil whine. We also instruct our factory to only build these cards with Samsung memory. So why buy this over any other 970, well it is most likely the quietest whilst under load (gaming) due to having the NVIDIA cooler and any chances of coil whine have being pretty much eliminated with the design changes Gibbo has had implemented.

So this card is ideal for those seeking as little noise as possible and the other major advantage is the NVIDIA cooler which offers much better cooling performance in smaller enclosures or when running in 2-way or 3-way SLI.

Finally of course this card is perfect for when Half Life 3 is finally released at some point in the future and of course the latest GTA V game which is now confirmed!

The GTX 980 is the worlds fastest GPU and the GTX 970 offers the most advanced performance in its class. Each delivers 2x the performance of previous-generation card, bringing new gaming experiences to virtual reality, and ultra resolution 4k displays.

Enable the detail of 4k monitors, on a 1080P display. DSR produces smoother images by rendering a game at a high resolution, then downscaling it to the native resolution of the display using advanced filtering.

GeForce GTX 980 and 970 cards support tear-free, super-fast NVIDIA G-Sync monitor display technology including 4k. Together, these technologies provide the most immersive and competitive gaming experiences possible.

Don't miss out, were only offering it this low to keep interest and demand whilst we await our next batch, once we take delivery the price will increase £36. :)

Good to see the price has come down from launch and even better that the recent rise has been reversed too!

I guess as normal it comes with giving your money away before you get delivery on a pre-order :(

Still it is a unique product, price comparison is down to this or the nearest alternative!

perfect price, happy with my 780 ti, if I was buying again.. would definitely look at these.. shame there no games now though

just quick one got one on pre-oder with what happing will we have to wait longer for then come back in stock, and his they any time on went they coming back

JAMIE :D

Apologies for asking this here as it's probably been asked multiple times, what are the sound levels like with the reference cooler?

If I were to buy this card and sand off the green paint on the 'GeForce GTX' logo on the side so it shines White and is less of an eyesore. Would this invalidate the warranty?

If they were that price then you would not be post 10, more like post 1000+ given that so many would sell!

Hehe, I get told I can be a bit too cheeky for my own good :D. As the saying goes 'you dont get, if you dont ask'.

Seriously, if OcUK can offer a deal on the reference cards like maybe £275 then I think I'd still drop my money, I'm not a big gamer and spend a lot of time doing 3D animation etc, I'm using a 560Ti so the 970 will be an upgrade.

No, Gibbo mentioned this a while back, but if you damage the light (or anything else) then it would.

Gibbo has said the 970's are still selling exceptionally well, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Thanks, wasn't aware he had mentioned that. Does the same apply for reference 980's?

Very good, and even when you can hear it, it's a cultured, well engineered whoosh of air.
