Green screen problem.

I switched my tv off about 5 hours ago from the mains and now the bits that should be black are bright green, here are some pics..
.

even with everything disconnected the screen is ALL green when it should be black.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? is it on the way out even though i bought it just 7 months ago? it is a sharp 32gd9e and is connected via scart.
 
That doesn't look too good. Try leaving it off/unplugged from the mains for a while. Maybe try a different scart cable.
 
It has been off for a good while and it's not the scart cable because the whole screen is green without any input plugged in...i see some guy had the same problem with a sharp aquos http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=523254&highlight=green but seems nobody could help him.
Will contact sharp cs on monday and see if i can get a refund (was thinking of getting a bigger samsung one anyway), if anyone else has any ideas what might be wrong please let me know.
 
I have the exact same problem on my Hitachi(expect purple), went to take it back ages ago and it started working and did so for about 6months. Now not working and out of warranty! :(
 
Not sure what my rights are but i'm going to ask for my money back right away and say i have read about this happening with a few sharp lcd's, failing that i would like an upgrade to a 1080p set.

Does anyone have any dealing with sharp tv's and refunds etc?.

Well if you only bought it 7 months ago, it's still under warranty.
