He’s too good for Liverpool, however it’s one of those with the current state of things. He’s likely to run his contract down and move on. No one* can afford the transfer fee but certainly can afford the wages.

What a strike from Greenwood.

How is he too good for Liverpool when they are one of the biggest and best clubs in the world?

Werner also scored 28 league goals the season before he joined Chelsea. Maybe it’s just better teams/players he’s up against?

Werner had a ridiculous number of chances last season where he was a hairs breadth from scoring or was offside by a few inches etc. He didn't struggle that much.

I'm genuinely not sure if I am watching the same games as you guys sometimes. Sancho has received the ball on the left god knows how many times today and there is no movement and no options. He receives it at a standstill and the only options he has are static players behind the ball.

We are utter junk as a team and thats entirely on the manager. Look at how Leicester move the ball. Look at how the team functions...as a team. I feel like i'm going nuts here. Do you guys genuinely believe that our issues are individual players we we are outplayed week in week out by teams worth 1/10th of our own. On paper we have easily one of the best teams in the world right now and this is the crap we are subjected to. Astonishing.

Sancho gets the ball 1v1 and will pass it back or sideways.

Zero commitment to beating a man or improving our position on the pitch.

Greenwood or any good player will look to take on their man, at least every so often.

It's United, if you want to be good enough you have to make things happen as a winger.

Norwich vs Brighton goalless at half time, not sure how.

Maupay should have had a pen, Trossard nearly scored a beauty but Krul pulled off a decent save. Then Sargent for Norwich managed to shoot at an open goal with not enough force to even make it to the line! (https://streamable.com/aeyfwc)

You are both right Sancho is offering nothing but the team is so stodgy. The coaching is clueless and the ability to pick a balanced team is non-existent. Solskjaer is on borrowed time but he's a lucky manager and it might take a while for him to completely screw it up.

I do agree Liverpool are a huge club but there still a pecking order, there’s a reason Mpabbe is away to leave his holiday camp to go to Madrid. Same with why Suarez, Coutinho etc all moved on up as well. If either of the two clubs weren’t broke he’d already be gone. It’s the same with United with Ronaldo.

Disagree. Liverpool are not remotely like they were when Suarez etc left. Going from Liverpool to Madrid/Barcelona is very much a downgrade.

When Ronaldo left United it was arguably a downgrade as well. He spent several seasons before he started winning anything whilst United were still getting to Champions League finals and winning league titles. Liverpool have won a single title in 30 years.

Playing for Madrid or Barcelona will always be the dream for most players.

Not the point, when either come calling you make that move.

Pretty much this.

All this moaning about Sancho, not a comment on how useless Ronaldo has been both in this game and in the majority of the others. Guy does absolutely nothing, shows up for 5 minutes a game with a goal and he's the great saviour, otherwise does no running and no pressing. He's ruined what little balance the team had, the goals won't matter if for the other 80-85 minutes of every game we're playing with 10 men.

Goals win games?

Could sit on his arse for entire game if he likes if he pops up and scores the winner.

Not anymore you dont and it’s exactly the point. You used Suarez as an example like Liverpool were even remotely the same team.

When they could sign players yes. I’m not sure anyone’s in any hurry to partner Memphis Depay and Luik De Jong.

I agree he has upset the balance of the team big time. He might score 20 odd goals a season but it doesn't matter when Greenwood, Martial and Rashford are getting 15-20 each themselves.

Ronaldo is great for a team that needs a target man. Say like Chelsea but I just can't see it happening. Ole tried to be brave by subbing him off etc and got totally raped for it when he did the right thing regardless of the result.

Teams win games. Playing with 10 men for 90 minutes every game and saying its OK because he scores some goals makes no sense. If we would have scored more goals without him then hes having a negative impact on the side. If we would have won more games without him playing then hes a negative on the team.

There is a reason why some players are vital to teams even though they don't score. It doesn't matter if Ronaldo scored every goal this season for United and got 50 goals. He would still be bad for the team if we would have scored 90 without him.
