Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14 - 15th December 2013]

Once again a great cross from Sagna, but it was first touch, he didn't hold it up and wait half an hour, I think after 5 years he finally learned to hit the ball with his first touch, fantastic cross. Frankly that is a poor miss from Giroud.

I just never, at any stage feel confident with Giroud on the end of anything. he absolutely can't get the ball 20-30yards out, turn a player run at goal and score. He can tap in within the 6yard box and he can be excellent in receiving the ball 20yards out and playing the right flick for someone else to run on to, but he's missing the entire part of his game where I trust he can actually finish anything but the easiest of chances.

We need a striker, Aguero within 30 yards can take the ball to goal and score, he can beat players, he can hold it up, but he can also do the flick on's Giroud can do. Giroud is a very limited player, no where near good enough to be the lone starting striker in a title winning team.
 
Calls for a penalty there reek of desperation. Wasn't the cleanest control but it's not like he did it deliberately.
 
If he reached up with his leg but it missed his leg and hit his arm, penalty, even though it wasn't intentional, if it his his arm because he put it there on purpose, penalty and potentially a red card for deliberate handball, hitting his arm because he it hit his leg and then hit his arm, just not a penalty, no intent, completely accidental and it hit his leg first.

We'd be screaming unfair if that was given against us.
