He's set up a goal, and his interplay has been good, Messi/Suarez have plenty of games where they have 6-10 shots and don't score, that is football. Don't get on his back, AVB has spent 4 months convincing him to not score from open play so not surprising he's a bit rusty. He probably can't remember the last time he got the ball in the box facing the goal that wasn't a penalty ;)
 
Soldado will sleep easy for the first time since coming to England. He has actually had some chances; Defoe should be played on merit but Soldado will find his shooting boots I think.

They ran into a hard run of opposition coupled with Lovrens being injured and he's pretty much THE reason the defence had been so good. They need a win to get some form back and Lovrens a few games back from injury for some form and they should be fine again.

I didn't say anything that suggested as much, I said AVB is responsible for HIS behaviour, a professional doesn't send a highly valuable staff member a message through a physio and act like a child refusing to be near him, it's pathetic. AVB's behaviour is the one in question over how ADebayor was informed of his exile. Many players get asked to train with reserve teams if they aren't playing well enough, unless you're looking to make a point, there is no reason to be completely unprofessional and a total **** about it, AVB has gone out of his way to do this at Chelsea and Spurs. Remember he chucked Ekotto out of the club and he wasn't close to Adebayor on the general scale of ****'s.

I think Sherwood felt he had his fingers burned midweek bringing on Holtby; what you say is sensible considering our general open door policy in terms of defence!

Playing with third choice goalie, Lovren out, Clyne out, Fonte and Shaw rested. They're playing today with a defence that's mostly a mix of second and third choice players, nothing like the defensive line up they had before.

Losing Boruc was the biggest blow IMO
