He is today yeah, but the last few games Southampton have struggled defensively and him being out was one of the reasons. I was making more of a general point there than a match specific one
 
Is the 4th official allowed to make calls on things like throw-ins? Dowd was signalling to the ref that it was Southampton's throw just then.
 
Hats off to Sherwood. Bentaleb, Adebayor, overlapping full backs, men attacking the box, real chances in the box, a smart tactic vs Southampton. It cant all be luck can it?
 
Big result for Spurs but as with their run of results before we did them last week they'll need to face a team in form before any judgments can be made and luckily for them that won't come until January when they face United, Arsenal, Swansea away and City at home.
 
Southampton desperately desperately need their full first team back.

Spurs played the right way today, Southampton are crippled in defence so attack attack attack and exploit that. With Gazzaniga in goal you need only get a shot on target and you'll probably have a goal.

Edit - completely forgot we're missing Wanyama too, we are seriously under strength at the moment :/

Sherwood did the basics right, though he also took a few gambles which paid off.

Problem with AVB was he would have approached that game exactly the same way as all the others. The guy simply had no Plan B.

bentaleb looked decent imo

sounds like sherwood is open to the managers role
