Why bring up AVB in response to my post about Adebayor's general ****ishness?
The very first post you made on a subject was quoting someone talking about HOW he was put in the reserves, the entire discussion was about Adebayor being frozen out by AVB, not that he was playing badly and put in the reserves or deserved to be put there. The entire thing was AVB decided to have a physio, not an assistent manager or coach but the physio, tell him to **** off and not come near him again(in probably nicer words).
The very fact that if he deserved to be in the reserves and if the manager wanted that player to take that as a sign to train harder and do better, you explain it to the player. By having someone not even on the coaching staff tell him, it's tantamount to saying "I don't want anything to do with you, let this be a lesson to others". he did it for the same reason he got rid of Anelka and Alex and in the same style, big and showy to try and lead through fear.
Lot's of players get put in reserves, few people get treated like Adebayor/Alex/Anelka did unless the manager is making a point. Think Di Canio and his kicking players off the pitch, blaming a keeper(iirc) and basically telling him to never come to training again. There is managing, then there is doing things for show.
He got rid of Adebayor to make a point, not because it helped the team or he deserved it.
The entire discussion happening with the people you quoted was based around questioning AVB's decision to freeze out maybe their best striker for no reason. I was simply saying why even if a player was bad enough of enough trouble to be frozen out, the professional way to do it is speak with the player and not turn the entire squad against you, it was just another case of AVB being an unprofessional **** with little man syndrome.
