Hope Gerrard's reintroduction doesn't stop Hendersons progression. Bar his woeful attempt at an empty net he's had another storming game.

Totally missed that, was in disbelief from Mert's misses, just saw a fairly bad(not nasty just stretching for a ball guy lost control of) on Cabaye, took his ankle out.
Debuchy hasn't looked like it very often this season, but when things were going wrong with the team last season Debuchy looked like he had that shocking red card tackle in him all the time.

The problem he has is he was always going to have limited playing time unless we had an injury upfront so the fact he's barely played even with Sturridge out says a lot. A loan at 27 isn't going to help him get in the team, needs to be sold.

Surprised if that isn't game over for Southampton, but that isn't bad. This was their last really tough game wasn't it, with 6-7 games in a row that are very winnable. Worst run of teams to play for any time all season, what 8-9 games of which only one wasn't the top 8 basically.
They showed last game they can bounce back and perform well and score. If they get a win in the first run in that game I think they'll do very well in that run of games.

Mainly cutting out half chances and Mertesacker should have scored two but missed the target twice from 6 yards out 
We look so lethargic today. dont deserve to win, but i think a draw is right for both teams.
Stoke handling everything we throw at them so far.
