surely thats what hes getting at ? why do we need greenpoison when its already been done ? 3 days ago



this makes the 'dev team' look even more like chumps to me. what was the reason for this release ? fair enough if they made it work on macs or they fixed any issues (seems it has same problems as limerain beta2) but it seems they have done nothing at all. bet theres still a donate button on their site though ?
 
I recommend limera1n. Used it a couple times now. No problems. Also, run FreeMyIphone too. Get's rid of a lot of unneeded apps (you can choose along the process) made my 3gs massively quicker
 
Before I do this jailbreak. Should I be doing anything specific?

Back up to on iTunes seems obvious, but I've also read about using Saurik's Server to backup my SHSH blobs.... whatever that means :/

Some quick advice would be really appreciated. A quick list of things to do before I upgrade.

Not actually heard about that Saurik thing.. but do it anyway as it will be worthwhile. Otherwise,,, uhh no :p

OK. Spoke to soon. After trying to install Cydia it crashed. After then trying to go back into Cydia it would immediately crash and restart. So thought I'd just restore from iTunes and try again. It now won't restore... I am now very annoyed and slightly worried that my iPhone is now an expensive brick.
 
it appears dev team just wanted to break it on 10.10.10 at 10.10.10

geohotz decided enuff and peed on there fireworks after all it possibly a copy of his work and they appeared to just be keeping it back.. allthough like allways some people have problems that others dont..

personally i used limera1n for my ipads all perfectly working and smooth...

What's it doing when trying to restore
 
Well was getting a failed to install error 1004. Tried 3 times, failed every time. Not sure what I did differently but the phone seemed to do a hard reset and iTunes picked it up and started to restore.

Seems I'm back up and running :/

before it was released it was all over the internet on twitter expected 10.10.10 ie computer lingo 0's and 1's what better idea wouldve it been ?? maybe wait next year 11.11.11 at 11.11.11 but not the same..

obviously im only passing on specualtion on what geohotz does i mean he dont live next door any more so i cant very well pop over and ask him...lol

either way it came and for me and conquered.. thanx geohotz
