Well I'm sat in Barhrain business lounge as I type this... as my original flight from Dubai to Barhrain was diverted to Qatar... and the next flight was 24 hours later .. so here I am 
The thunderstorm was pretty.. but not when your in a plane!
I've seen the Al Arab - infact it's pretty much visable from everywhere... what's interesting is that the 200+ skyscrapers being built at this time.
UAE seems a really nice place.. although you get a bit sick of sand, sea and sun... I'm also supprised by just how many people speak english.
Gurdas would love the car worshipping here! Although between 3am and 9am on my first morning there were 500 car accidents in dubai... why? rain... it's like snow to the UK and causes loads of problems with a simple shower!
I've been taking pics as I go along but at the moment I can read the camera card on this lappy
Next stop Manila... and thanks to the flight complications... I get to spend a weekend there
