Grilling Machines

What would be the ideal George Foreman grill for one person, healthy appetite, but wants an easy clean one?

I'd recommend mine - but only if I found out the issues I have were restricted to a bad machine and not a bad design... nobody else has commented though so I have no idea what to say!

Zefan in Lossiemouth aswell? 3 forum members on the same base? Lol

Nope, I'm down in sunny Cornwall at Portreath.

Who else is at Lossiemouth? Well I know one guy but I thought he wasn't active anymore.

Why would you want it cooked slow?

My girlfriend got an ActiFry for christmas.. so far we've cooked chips, stir fry chicken and veg in it. It's basically like having a frying pan that stirs itself.
Only downside is the price, I believe they're around £130.

How lazy do you have to be?!

Weird isn't it!

There's nothing easier to clean/cook with than a frying pan! Anyone (and yes, they're all students) I've known who has a george foreman ends up with blobs of fat all over their work surfaces, and a machine that sits in the corner of the kitchen, stinking because it's not been cleaned properly. They really are gross. Same goes for that horrific looking actifry thing I imagine...

Your doing it wrong, once youve got the timing down food comes out perfectly cooked and still juicy. The cleaning can be a pain though

Cleaning it is fine as long as you use plastic utensils while cooking so you dont scratch the surface. then just wipe is with the rough end of the sponge while its still warm. It's easier than cleaning a frying pan!

A Halogen oven is a good investment.

You can cook chips, pizza, full chickens etc...

Its a really good piece of equipment if your oven is broken, needs cleaning (or in your case dont have one) :P

Why wouldn't you? That is more of the question you should be asking yourself ;).
In all seriousness though, slow cookers cook amazingly & say for instance you know you're in for a hectic day but fancy something yummy like a beef stew, you can prep it the night before or morning before work, come back & it'll be there ready & waiting.

I often slow cook a joint of meat over night & then steam some veg the next day. It makes for a nice simple, no hob hassle roast dinner.

Of course there are loads of other things you can make in there but it depends on what you fancy :D

Also means you can buy the cheapo cuts of meat no one else really uses day to day, and because it cooks for so long its the tastiest of the tasty :)

Man nobody knows how to cook in this thread:( Pretty sad when everything you put in your mouth either comes out of a george foreman or a microwave...
Well I'm proud to say nothing of George's has ever been in my mouth :p
