GSXR750 or a CBR600?

I bought a Gixer 600 K4 as my 1st bike 54 plate with 2990 miles for £3900, i love it, my farther in law owns the Daytona 650 he says the gixer is a lot more nimble, you only look at a corner and its goin, but his daytona you have to move a lot more to get the same result.

Just a question as you don't mention is this a 600 RR or a 600F

Either way the GSX-R 750 will be quicker. Really depends on your riding style, if you're unlikely to ride it anywhere near the bikes limits get whichever you feel more comfortable on.

If this was between the cbr600 and the gsxr600, my personal preference is the honda. However we're taking about the 750 which will have a motor that is more usable, in the sense that you're not up and down the gear box as much as on a 600. So go for that, just make sure you clean it after each time out in the rain during winter or it WILL rot to pieces.

is a tricky one, coming from the bandit the CBR600 should be quick enough for you. and as long as its the RR its still one of the nicest looking bikes around. it will also hold its value well and age well.

The gixer is a whole lot more fun though, the engine is a stunner, and handling should be spot on also, both bikes would really benifit from spending a few £ getting the suspension freshoned up. if you are riding all year round you will really have to take take of the gixer, the british winter just turns them into old hacks in no time, its shocking.

you are defo doing the right thing is testing them both, just get the bike that you feel you could live with. Iv always been a yamaha/kawasaki man myself, just the seating position of susuki's dont seem to suit my lanky frame, and every honda iv had a blast on have always been so dull. I would certainly add the 636 and R6 to your list, the R6 in particular is a hoot, the engine is a stonker on it.
