This event is frustrating me sooooo much

Best I can do is a 1.16.022 - need a 1.15 for gold tho :(

Using AT and 0 TC with a pad - any tips anyone??

Its the Evo GSR round the snowy mountain course btw :)

Force yourself, so much more rewarding & makes them much better games.

I even used to do it in NFS: Underground before I could drive!

Just been testing it - if I get most of the changes spot on I'm about .7 slower at the mo - I need a nice loud beep to tell me to change up so I don't keep hitting the limiter :D

Ive done every single event in C, B, A and S easily - not all with gold tho - S10 is **** easy for a Bronze but getting gold is going to take something special I feel.....

Manual won't make you faster imo. I'm not sure how many more events I have to do, but I got to the S class ones.

Yes, yes it does. We did a test in gt4. Me and one mate used to use AT then another mate showed us how he could get a few silvers on manual and how some of his lap times round the ring were better with manual. I learnt and showed how MT helped a fair bit (but my driving skills arnt amazing in it havnt a broken ps2).

Other mate eventually got MT, he completed GT4 with it as its pretty much essential

If you use a manual you can change up and down at the correct moment and not too soon up and too late down.

But it depends, if you are not used to it you can also hit the limiter slowing you down.

So for a 'novice' manual is slower, for a 'pro' manual is faster

Is MT gear up/down better than a proper H shifter when it comes to speed? Be interesting to hear if people even bother H shifting

ps3ud0

forget it, OCUK messed up my pretty text drawing :(

but basically, manual is better as you can get more increase in speed before hitting the limiter(hense you get faster). Automatic changes your gear in a very inefficient place.

Yes, if you are willing to endure hours of getting used to it and having slower times at first.

Depends, I used paddles on a wheel, so got used to manual, and now I can do it really well on a pad. Its more a case of getting to know when to change gears well and then bang you can do it on anything.

Also it's really pronounced on Forza as with manual on some cars you can go way into the redline zone! SO def faster

With most GT games the auto box changes up too soon and changes down too late, I don't know how it is with GT5:P but I can only assume it's the same.
