GTA IV ads pulled down in US

They are participating in the glamorisation of unquestionably sick and violent behaviour, they are in a very real way shocking and inexcusable.

It's just a game. :) Think most people make the difference. Then should we ban movies, music, books etc...?

Honestly most video games have violent content, and many with more blood and guts than GTA.

That is that man's opinion which I do not share.

Theft has existed throughout history, don't think there has been any studies that even suggest car thefts have increased due to GTA. In fact cars are harder to steal nowdays then they ever were, especially with immobilizers which are Category 2 approved by insurance companies. You have to be a pro to steal a modern car, and not a 15 year old.

Fights/beatings caused by GTA? Are you joking? There are more fights directly due to alcohol and football.

Thats what parents dont realise, I remember friends being bought 18 games and their parents not caring what they are playing. I was bought 18 cert games when i was a kid but was told when the were bought that they are only video games and in no way at all should anything seen in them be acted out in real life.

that's it - go to bed and no Jackass for you ;)

I have to agree with Zefan here, it's marketing to an audience far younger than it's rated for, and it's bang out of order. People wonder we have so many issues with games and rating systems, and ignorant parents and such, yet here we are, complaining about adverts for GTA4 that are being targeted towards children being removed.

Crazy world.

Assumption is the mother of all **** ups. You are assuming gamers are kids. The average X360 owner is 22, average PS3 owner is 23 and average PC gamer is 25. Last I checked GTA wasn't available on Leapfrog.
