GTA IV running like crap :( please help noob!

Hey guys, little update.

Running 10.12 cats and it was running like turd as usual. I reset all settings to default, then simply put the settings I had changed back, and it's running much much smoother! I couldn't believe it when I first booted it up, makes the game much more playable and enjoyable. However, after a couple of hours playing, the performance didn't seem so great again. I'm going to try the game again when I have time and see if that's still the case.

So, as suggested above, my advice is set everything to default in CCC and try then, even if you think all visible settings are on defaults.
 
I find that ballad of gay tony is much nicer visually than gta4. gta4 seemed to have a blurr effect about it but in the ballad of gay tony, the graphics look much sharp and crisp:).
 
Hi,

If you're not running x-fire you probably want to turn off Catalyst A.I. Can make a considerable difference on certain driver combinations with GTA4.
