GTA4......360 or PS3

Not at all. I wanted a reaction and you gave it...Thanks. :D I was just trying to use the logic of 360 owners who feel that dvd9 is ok.. :)

Im not to worried about the DVD9 aspect, think only Blue Dragon is more, but from what i hear its a mahoosive game. Despite what MS say i can see them at somepoint using HDDVD, maybe release HDDVD + Multiple DVD9 editions of games?

DVD9 is fine and it is better than having to triplicate data throughout the Blu-Ray disc to obtain better loading speeds, then again i suppose they gotta justify filling up the space somehow :o

IF the space was ever needed I could see them using the new 100-120Gb HDD (like they do with the GRAW chapter 2 download) and install some data to the HDD.

 Ps3 framerates issue have been fixed, unless im missing something here.

How can 'PS3 framerates been fixed'

It's not something that's specific to the console itself.

Any developer for any console could release a piece of software tomorrow that has a low FPS.

i have to agree with that statement ps2 and ps3 pad is much better suited to gta games than xbox pad

also download content can't be that big on 20gb hd unless ms has other idea's

I would say the opposite I prefer the 360 controller over the ps2/3 pad because of the better placing of the analog stick.

Fact?...more like opinion and your choice.

Actually, i think if you got some ergonomics expert in, they would probably state it as fact.
You could probably do a test on fatigue through usage of both controllers.... clearly the 360 is more ergonomic, therefore better :D

For some reason i cant see or read your post.

Bar any extra content available through Live, I imagine both versions will be exactly the same. Generally multiformat releases are identical to each other except for a few graphical differences when one console is significantly less powerful. In this case I think the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be roughly on par with each other so the two versions will probably be very similar.

Me personally, I'll get it on 360 because I already have one of those.

from what ive read there will be different extra content on both consoles

couldnt care less to be honest because both consoles owners will miss out to the modding scene that will come whenever a pc version is brought out :(

silly arguing other the pads too

i prefer the PS pad because of the millions of hours gaming ive put on on those consoles , its like an extended body part to me im that used to it :p

sure some xbox users will be the same

co op online would be a great feature for either version of the game !
i cant wait to see some footage or new info about the game

The pad was always the deciding factor when I was buying a multiplatform game. I have both an Xbox and a PS2 and when deciding which to buy the game for it usually comes down to the pad. Eg. I bought Tony Hawks: American Wasteland on PS2 because I find the D-pad more accurate and that's useful for making sure you pull off the right tricks. But if I was buying something like an FPS, then it would be Xbox all the way because the analog sticks are in better positions.

It's not that difficult to adjust to more than 1 pad type. You just get used to it don't you??

I find it wierd if anyone seriously has a problem with a pad to a point where they wouldnt own the console :D

Anyways, I'll be buying it for either console, Depends which has the better content available.

Also I was just wondering what frame rate issues were being refered to?? because i've been playing a PS3 for about a month and a half now and havent noticed a single problem, Other than shoddy PS2/PSone graphics, which the latest firmware update fixed.

And thats BS, I find it hilarious how you can say Bluray is wasting space, Considering how the 360 is already filling their DVD9 discs and having to move to multiples.

And what do I hear you say? You don't mind changing disks!? wow, Well I don't think people mind having 50gb Bluray discs with only 20gb of gaming data on either, And if triplicating the data to improve read speeds is what we have to do then, I think we'll just have to grit out teeth, And push on.

Thought i saw somewhere that the PS3 can use the hardrive to cache files from certain game's for faster load time?

It can. Which is another way of achieving faster load times too.

Oblivion is using the multidata way of achieving faster read speeds, But an other option is hard drive caching. I'm happy with either method

ooh, be careful using Oblivion as leading the way technology wise on the PS3. According to the latest 1up show, the Bethesda devs cannot (due to PS3 memory architecture) allow players to have all available extra (digital download addon) content at once, which the 360 can apparently.

Seems pretty poor to me, but it was a complicated explanation, check the show for the fulll thing.

The way Bethesda made Startrek Legacy on PC that comment really doesn't surprise me :p :D
