GTX 275 listed at 249 euro

Probably about £300 with Gordon Brown at the helm printing money willy nilly. :p

Good point, although there is nothing funny about a idiot like Gordon "Mugbe" Brown devaluing your money, whilst claiming he's helping you out.

Thats 30% gone from the pounds value in 12 monthes.

My E8600 that cost me £169 from OCUK now costs over £240:eek:

Shocking isn't it? and to think he had the cheek to call it "quantitive easing" and make out like it would benefit us all... worst still he wants to do it again.

The real shock is the millions he will be spending this week with his "friends". Why not a "GPU easing" with a 275GTX per home :D

Not sure what the point is of this GPU tbh, unless they EOL the 260 and drop the price on the 275 to ~£150-160.

My Dad is loving Browns Fiscal Bumbling, he works abroad and get paid in dollars, it's like he's had a 30% Pay raise :D
Sucks for 99.9% of people though. Still, all of us who upgraded last summer are laughing, Our components haven't devalued at all.

What are the specs on the 275 anyway?

Interesting

Interesting 2

Nvidia GeForce GTX 275 graphics card will feature fully-fledged G200b graphics processing unit (GPU) with 240 shader processors (SPs) operating at 1404MHz, 80 texture units (TUs), 30 render back ends (RBEs) working at 633MHz and 448-bit memory interface. The graphics card will be equipped with 896MB of GDDR3 functioning at 2328MHz.

Im no graphics hardware expert but id say this relates to be better than 260 superclocked models and within about 10% of the 285
I was about to consider the 260 but not now :)

nah the 295 has more SPs per core than the 260.

That said... 260GTX maxcore SLI is monster hah... even at 3.6gig I'm badly CPU limited in many cases... even playing at 2048x but when your already getting 200+fps it doesn't make much odds.

That's Charlie for you! If NV produced a card that cured all childhood diseases for £50 he'd find a way to spin it as evil.

I'm not saying he's always wrong, but its hard to endure a zealout like himself at the best of times.

Hes just obvious now I dunno why he keeps it up... lol...

But he does kinda have a point, tho its nothing to the degree of the 250 debacle...

This card is pretty much pointless, if its much more expensive than the 260 then either its not worth it for the small performance boost or you'd be better off stumping up slightly more to get the 285. Or they reduce the price to make it attractive and they not only have to EOL the 260 but also it shows up how hideously expensive the 285 is in comparison.

its just nVidia trying to find a way to push the price back up on the 260 imo.
