hey,

looked around forums and calcs but seems no one can give an answer so thought id ask.

i have an Antec NeoPower 650w with 3 x 12v rails each with 19a on

I'm wondering whether it could handle another GTX275 in SLI?

Rest of specs in sig.

cheers

I would recommend you use a PSU calculator from a reliable website. I am running two GTX 275's in SLI, but I played it safe and went for a Corsair HX 750 watt PSU.

I spoke with someone who was thinking of doing what you are and they came out with a wattage of 730 watts with an overclocked CPU like yours.

I think you should invest in a bigger wattage PSU before you go SLI. As you can see my set-up is similar to yours but without the overclock. Of course you could always give it a go, but I will bet that the amps from that PSU will not be enough, I think you need at least 35-40 amps in the rail to run a GTX 275 in SLI.

Cheers

Reason I ask is because I am about to return a 5970 because of 2D crashing and artifacting.

Do you think it could be the PSU that is making the 5970 crash etc?
