GTX 280 Refreshes?

I read somewhere that the GTX 280 and 260s will be getting a refresh soon with more shaders onboard.

Now I'm thinking of getting a 280 to upgrade my my 8800GTX but was wondering if its worth waiting if the refresh is going to happen soon!

Any ideas if what I heard was true? And if it is, how long away is it?

Hmm.. Not sure what to do now, if its worth holding on for the smaller die size and possible GDDR5 or to just buy one now!?

So am I best off waiting till the end of October then really? Seeing whats coming out.. My 8800GTX is still OK at the moment, its just I'd like a new card for a few of the games I'm looking forward to at the end of the year.

Or I could sell it and get a 4870 on the cheap to tide me over till the new Nvidia cards come out! Decisions...
