GTX 480 SLI idle temps

Everyone is making out how good this new Morph AA is I just thought it would look better than nvidia in a few games.

BC2 with 8xSSAA & 32xAA looks good but would this ATI AA look better?

No, its not as good as standard AA. Its more of a post processing effect which uses blurring to to get rid of jaggies.

3rd part HSFs show you how much when they reduce temps by over 20C you know something is wrong with the stock Nvidia design ;)

Ah yes, until you point out the fact that such third party HSFs add £40-50 on to the price of the graphics card. So what was a £350 graphics card, is now a £400 graphics card.

£35 will get you a great cooler for the 470/480, and that price is nothing compared to the lower temps, lower noise and big overclocks for substantial performance gains. Considering you can pick up a 480 for £330, £35 for an excellent cooler is no big deal.

Will definitely consider the Gelid although I don't like the way these coolers dump heat in your case. I'm also considering the RV02 which is now shipping with penetrator fans. From what I've seen over on Hardforums, using this csae substantially decreased gtx 480 noise and temps.

Temp problem solved by addiing an additional fan. GPU's idle in high 40's now. Can hit mid 50's if doing something in windows. And using Ravens fan profile get to max of 80 when gaming.
