Hey all I've decided to go for a nice brand spanking new GTX570 for my system and I'm just wondering out of all the cards which one should I go for? ( got to love getting money for Christmas from relatives lol)

EVGA's ten year warranty sounded nice but realistically that card wont be in my possession that long.

besides that I want to keep the cost as low as possible as I've got to pay for shipping to Northern Ireland that costs more :(.

and any that come with a free game would be a bonus ;)

merry Christmas everyone.

They do think so; why do you think they delete posts which talk about competitors??

In the end, you're basically using THEIR marketing / communications tools to effectively stop them getting business.

Oh, and quite rightly so too.

When I lived in N.Ireland it really annoyed me how much companies charged for postage compared with the mainland. My dad who still lives there ordered a Samsung Blu-ray player from a shop in London because it was £100 cheaper than anywhere else. They were looking £50 postage to N.I so he got it sent to me on the mainland free postage. I forwarded it via Royal Mail Special Delivery for £22 so how can these shops justify their high prices.

The way delivery to N.Ireland is handled it truly disgraceful. If these couriers are using some sort of next day delivery then they will most likely be getting sent part of the way by plane if it is over any sort of distance. Why would delivery from London to Newcastle for example, be 100% cheaper or more than a flight to Belfast?

I think the couriers want us to believe that they had to put a plane on especially for our delivery. Because of this, there have been many many occasions when I have purchased from competitors even when more expensive since it works out cheaper overall.

I really think some of these companies need investigated.

yes it really annoys me, a lot of websites advertise free delivery above X amount or like overclockers did recently free delivery during a special christmas promotion.

If i could have gotten free delivery yesterday I'd of bought myself a nice GTX570 but atm im looking to go elsewhere because frankly £12 for postage is a disgrace it absolutely destroys any savings that could be made.

Agree with the above.......tbh, if i sell something on ebay, it costs me nowt more to send to UK than NI using Special Delivery.

It has nearly put me off OCUK in the past but i did still end up buying here out of blind loyalty...

But the costs really are a bit silly tbh.

May consider elsewhere in the future, would make a BIG difference to have free NI del. Wouldnt expect next day.....just standard delivery.

That is nearly the first thing i check when i am looking for anything on-line, there's so many on-line retailer that just screw people from northern Ireland in postage. I have had problems trying to convince some that northern Ireland is covered by royal mail and is not part of the republic of Ireland and therefore isn't an international delivery.

It has got to a point that i will not order from suppliers that have that policy and just shop elsewhere.

I'm in N.Ireland too, and i only use ocUK if i must, the other site i use is free shipping to N.Ireland, and they tend to be better priced,

Prefect example is a monitor im looking at

ocUK want £821.33 inc VAT + Delivery

Other site want £699.94 Inc VAT + Free Delivery
