Theres a competitor who has got the card on pre-order for £299

just seen the preorder price splashed all over their main page so few people on here got the price about right (clue to who: a popular childs toy on a string and the beginning part of the second word in "I.T.") after reading about it on another forum apparently according to another supplier this company have broken the NDA that Nvidia issued over pricing and it will badly affect their supply of stock for breaking it.

We all know the best place to buy them from is OCUK anyway !!!!

Lol. Not with max detail and tesselation and dof at 1920 x 1200. Even a 580 dips to 9 fps.

VF3000 help reduce the temp of the card, but it doesn't really reduce the amount of heat produced by the card that are being vent out from the computer case and increase the room temperature...the same goes for the watercooling as well if I'm not mistaken.

True true, albeit perfect for these winter nights

It's the reason I changed my 480 though if I'm honest. It was a great card, but my room used to get really warm very quickly, so I sold it on for £270 before the value dropped too much. Now I'm in the market for a card just as fast, which produces less heat.

Gelid HSF removes the heat/noise issues from GTX480's Nvidia should have used this from the start
