To post a comparison between the 670 heaven bench and the 680 bench. Here is my 680 bench @ stock with the same settings as Azza.

This is with an OC of 171Mhz on the GPU.

I am very impressed with how well the 670 is looking and will work out to be a bit of a beast.

Sorry for the wrong image size. My bad :(

GTX 670 ti might be a 900 Mhz GTX 680 :D

I can see that happenning.

I really really like this GTX 670, but it deserves a beastly dual GPU edition with an awesome looking cooler like the GTX 690!

Or maybe GTX 670 Ti could be the dual GPU edition.

I've had an offer of £170 on my old CPU / Mobo / Ram, and I can try and sell my GTX 560 tis for £100 which should cover one GTX 570, but I would really like a smaller cooler MSI CYCLONE edition, not a TwinFrozr / Windforce.

Actually does anyone know the spacing on the mounting holes? I still have two of these:

^^ Good enough for ATI 4870s @ <80 degrees, more than good enough for a GK104!

Personally I see no room for a 670ti here unless the only real difference is the ti version comes with more memory. There just isn't room between the 670 and the 680 for another card.

Well yea, theres zero point to it. Even a GTX 680 that refuses to work at 1000 Mhz can have a single shader unit disabled and sold as a GTX 670.

Unfortunately due to it being nvidia, that extra shader unit is permanently crippled and it cant be bios flashed into a 900 Mhz GTX 680 :(

Having a look through the guys thread on OCN it seems you can't do voltage adjustments through Afterburner and the likes, so I'd assume that the extra stuff has been lasered off, especially on the cards that use the GTX 680 pcbs. But it would be hilarious if they weren't and you could just flash a 680 BIOS to unlock them. :D

The boosting is looking awesome though.

Buy reference GTX 670 @ 915mhz, overclock to 980mhz, boosted to 1300 mhz, save £100

At £350 they would need to be faster than a 7970.

We may have AMD to thank on this one. As soon as the 670 launches, Im sure we will see price drops on the 7950, and depending on performance, maybe the 7970 too.
