GTX 680 Buying Advice Please

Where did you hear that about the 670FTW cooler? The 670 reference cooler is cheapo rubbish yeah, this uses the 680 cooler, it's much better.

TBH though it's not on par with coolers like the windforce, twin frozr, dcuii etc. I wish EVGA would stop with this "exhaust cards are better" nonsense. Signature 2 is a good start but they need something sexier.

That Graph is ancient, i would look at some latest reviews for more up to date info if i was you.. Although it wont matter if your only buying nvidia, plus you will only be disappointed if you see the latest results anyway lol

you meaning the ati 7970 ghz editions?
and i just checked the reviews were done on july 5th (for the 670) so if 2 weeks is considered old...then...

^yes you can put a 680 waterblock/backplate on 670ftw.

shame it'd say "680" on it though.. (I'm picky).

Last time I looked there was still a petition on the evga forums for an evga 670ftw specific backplate.

I think the GTX680 equivalent HD7970 is just as good if not better than the GTX680 with the latest drivers (it wins just as many it loses), the GHZ Edition is in a league of its own (once AIB`s cards release)

The GTX670 is right up there with the overclocked HD7950`s lol, so why spend £60+ quid extra (for 670) for the same performance in (7950) games? in everything else (minus one or two) the 7950 kills it.

The power is 20/30 watts difference, the heat, noise are all basically the same.

Edit: when i say everything else, am talking compute related, thanks (Although, if you prefer nvidia, i would go 670)

Think 3d is better on the nvidia last time i checked, been a while since though, so would double check since its an expensive investment (no room for mistakes) ;)
