It is?WJA96 said:So is the stock Intel S775 one

WJA96 said:Yes. It's quite possible to get 2.8GHz from an E6300 using the stock cooler. It also runs very quietly if you're not maxing the system out constantly.
I wouldn't use it myself as I'm into overclocking and for £15 I bought an AC Freezer 7, but there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the basic Intel cooler.
easyrider said:Come on WJA96 for a nominal sum you can have far better quieter cooling performance and higher clocks.
Anyone in their right mind getting conroe and clocking would not use the stock cooler.
l3lue said:Um what heat sinks are their out or coming out that are compatible with geforce 8800GTX cards ?? Look all over google but cant seem to find any answers.
easyrider said:No,
Its pants.
Its noisey and will limit your clock.
WJA96 said:IWhy should the OP not want to spend a little money and buy a better cooler for his 8800 series?

Why do people have SLI 8800GTX systems driving their 1440x900 monitors? Because they can! They don't gain anything, but a lot of 'enthusiasts' just have to tinker with everything or they're not happy.

I tinker therefore i ameasyrider said:I tinker if I see gains.

I wouldn't invalidate a 450 quid gfx cards warranty unless I was gonna see much much higher clocks or have total silence.Or reduce ambient temps in my case.
In this instance you would have to be pretty daft IMO to remove the Stock 8800 GTX cooler just for the sake on a tinker!![]()
And whats with the roll eyes?
Its christmas!
Good will to all and that![]()
